ARM Power!

Comparing MySQL x86 vs ARM Performance

On-demand Webinar

With the launch of Apple M1 chips and Amazon Graviton Processor, there has been much more frequent discussion comparing ARM performance to x86. Not only because it shows promising results in terms of performance, but when compared to x86 instances, the costs are generally less.

We will discuss various scenarios comparing performance between instances of similar cost and hardware capacities. Lastly, we will check if the ARM MySQL ecosystem (backup tools, monitoring, and others) is mature enough to support production workloads.

By the end of the session, attendees will have a clearer idea about ARM capabilities and performance compared to x86.
